| Douglas
A. Gessell grew up in the Stockton area. He obtained his Bachelors of
Arts degree from Brigham Young University in 1993. After working as
a Public School Teacher, he returned to obtain his Juris Doctor degree
from J. Rueben Clark School of Law, at Brigham Young University in 2000.
Upon graduating, he promptly passed the California Bar exam and started
working as an associate for a civil defense firm in Redding, California.
He then began working as an associate with the plaintiff’s firm of
Sayer and Chavez in Sacramento, California, where he was involved in a
broad array of multi-million dollar, personal injury cases from inception
to trial. In 2005, he and Steven L. Brown formed their current firm. He is married with four children. He is active in his church, having served a 2-year church mission in Spain. He enjoys basketball, family, fishing and waterskiing. |
Steven L. Brown, was raised in the bay area and lives in the San Joaquin
Valley. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham University
in 1989, graduating Magna Cum Laude and Phi Kappa Phi. He then obtained
his Juris Doctor degree from J. Rueben Clark School of Law, at Brigham
Young University in 1993. During law school, he clerked for the firm of
Ivy and Young. Upon graduating, he promptly passed the California Bar exam
and was hired by the medical malpractice defense firm of Craddick, Candland
and Conti, in Danville, California. He subsequently became a partner. In
2005, he and Douglas A. Gessell formed their current firm. He is married with three children. He is active in his church, having served a 2-year church mission in Sweden. He enjoys tennis, family, road biking, and traveling. |
